Tato norma je českou verzí mezinárodní normy ISO 4125:1991. Mezinárodní norma ISO 4125:1991 má status české technické normy. Uvádí definice termínů "suché plody" a "sušené ovoce" společně s běžnými názvy pro ovoce, které se ve světě nejvíce využívá pro lidskou spotřebu, a které se prodává na místních, národních a mezinárodních trzích v jazyce českém, anglickém, francouzském a ruském. Je uvedeno cca 60 hesel. Norma tedy stanovuje termíny významné i pro hygienu výživy. ČSN ISO 4125 (56 8110) byla vydána v srpnu 1999
