Norma stanoví postup při odebírání vzorků, při smyslovém a fyzikálně-chemickém zkoušení cukrářských výrobků. Poměrně rozsáhlá norma má tyto kapitola: I - Všeobecně, II - Braní vzorků, III - Smyslové zkoušky, IV - Fyzikálně chemické zkoušky, a Dodatek. Norma se vztahuje k zjišťování některých kvalitativních znaků (jakosti) významných pro hygienu výživy. ČSN 56 0130 byla schválena 16.7.1970 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.4.1971. Nahradila ČSN 56 0130 z 11.7.1962. "Změnou 1)-8/1995", vydanou v září 1995, se s účinností od 1.10.1995 ruší články 1 - 41, které jsou nahrazeny částí 1 - 7 ČSN 56 0130
