V této normě, společně s ČSN 07 0620 jsou zapracovány údaje ST SEV 1369-86. Norma platí pro výrobu, montáž, opravy a rekonstrukce parních a horkovodních kotlů, ve kterých je přetlak pracovní látky vyšší než 115°C. Normalizována jsou (kap. IV) technická pravidla a předpisy pro výrobu, montáž, opravy a rekonstrukce tlakových částí (cca 140 čl.), mezi nimi i požadavky na kvalifikaci svářeče (čl. 82)! Dále jsou zejména normalizovány (kap. V) předpisy pro kontrolu a zkoušky tlakových částí (cca 80 čl.). ČSN 07 0622 byla schválena 14.3.1988 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1990. Nahradila ČSN 07 0622 ze 30.9.1964
