Tato mezinárodní norma stanoví kódovaný soubor znaků glagolské abecedy za účelem výměny bibliografických informací. Soubor znaků lze využít ve staroslovanských jazycích. Tato mezinárodní norma obsahuje kódové tabulky a příslušnou legendu ke každému grafickému znaku včetně jeho ekvivalentu v kyrilici, jeho pozici v kódové tabulce, název, poznámky k jeho použití. Poznámka - S ohledem na uživatele koresponduje soubor znaků glagolské abecedy se souborem znaků základní kyrilice pro bibliografické informace, který je registrován pod číslem 37 v registru ISO, a se souborem znaků ISO 5427 registrovaným pod číslem 54.
