Tato norma stanoví postup provádění ohybové zkoušky; stanoví rozměry a způsob odběru a zhotovení zkušebních těles, včetně stanovení podmínek provádění zkoušky. Zkouška se používá pro zkoušení svarů dílů desek a trubek svařovaných na tupo, vyrobených z termoplastů, plněných nebo neplněných, bez ohledu na použitý svařovací postup. Zkoušku nelze použít na zkoušení materiálu s tloušťkou stěny větší než 3 mm.
