Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 2726-80 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP platí pro elektrická zařízení a jejich části, používané v třífázových střídavých soustavách o kmitočtu do 60 Hz a v jednofázových střídavých soustavách napájených z třífázových soustav. Jsou normalizovány podmínky pro určování velikosti zkratového proudu a podmínky pro volbu elektrického zařízení podle dynamické a tepelné odolnosti proti působení zkratového proudu. ČSN 33 3015 byla schválena 8.4.1983 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1984. Nahradila část I a II ČSN 38 1754 z roku 1974
